CLIPPSI for Windows

Get Microsoft’s small installer here. Open it to download and install CLIPPSI on your PC.

Download from the Microsoft Store

A personal activation code is still required to create clips. Request free beta access ↗

View in Microsoft Store ↗

After downloading, open the Microsoft installer from your browser’s downloads. The full app and its models are larger than this initial file. Windows may ask you to confirm installation.

Alternative: direct Windows installer

Use this option to update an existing direct installation in place. Store and direct installations keep separate app data; switching is not an in-place update. Back up your projects and use Move your license if your code is already assigned.

Checking the current direct beta…

Enter your invitation code to unlock this alternative download. It does not use your device activation.

This direct installer is not digitally signed yet and may show an unknown-publisher warning. Version 3.7-rc21 was tested in a fresh Windows Sandbox with the required Microsoft components. If Windows blocks it, use the Microsoft Store option above or contact support. Do not disable your security software.

Direct-install security update: 3.7-rc16 or later. Update an existing direct installation by 2 November 2026 at 16:39 UTC. Earlier versions will no longer receive license verification. Updating in the same location preserves its activation and projects.

01

Install. Prepare your studio.

Run the installer and open CLIPPSI. Open Beta access, paste your personal invitation code and activate this installation online. Your invitation states the end date; the default is 30 days from issue. Then complete Studio setup. The app shows the models it needs and their download sizes. Wait for setup to finish before creating a video.

02

Start with a short recording.

Choose your own short recording with clear English speech and permission to use it. In direct beta 3.7-rc21, you can also choose Use sample video to try the included Recording tips video. Supported public links also work; availability depends on the source website.

03

Choose your look. Create.

Pick a clip count, video layout and caption style. Save a custom preset to reuse those choices. Click Create clips. Speed depends on your computer, video length and settings.

04

Make the final call.

Play the results. Check context, sentence endings, captions and titles. Open a clip to trim it or fix words, save your changes, then download the finished MP4.

Windows components

If the app reports a missing Microsoft component, use its link to the official download page. Install the Visual C++ x64 Redistributable and Evergreen WebView2 Runtime, then reopen CLIPPSI. Windows may request administrator permission for Visual C++.

Something got in the way?

Choose Report a problem in the app sidebar. Describe what happened, add the steps and what you expected. Review the optional technical details, then copy or save the report and attach it to your email.

Older builds call this Help & feedback. You can also reply to your invitation or email clippsi.com@gmail.com.

The report does not automatically collect footage, transcripts, source links, file paths or raw logs. Nothing is sent until you send your email.

Keep your work safe.

If processing stops, reopen the project and choose Resume processing. Before an update, back up important projects and finish or stop active work. The Microsoft Store version receives updates through Microsoft Store. For a direct installation, use Updates in the app and keep the same installation location. Older app versions may need a manual update from this page after the hosting move. Use your invitation code to download the installer; your projects and activation remain in the same installation location.

Access is free and time limited. One personal code activates one installation. The owner can extend or disable access; use Move your license if you change computers. Verify the email from your invitation or purchase to receive a replacement activation code. One transfer is available per 24 hours; it does not extend the license. The old installation loses access at its next check, subject to its remaining offline allowance. The app verifies your device online each time it starts, then checks every 15 minutes while open. After verification, the open session can work offline for up to 7 days, never beyond its end date. Updating the same installation preserves your projects and activation. Switching between the Store and direct editions requires a separate installation and may require a license transfer. After an extension, choose Beta access → Check access. If access ends, new processing stops but your projects and completed videos remain available. No card is required and there is no automatic charge. Automatic selection and transcription can make mistakes, so review clips before publishing.
